Detailed Itinerary: 10 Day African Big 5 Safari
Day 1. Entebbe – Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary – Murchison Falls National Park
This morning transfer from your hotel introduces you to a drive to northwestern Uganda at Ziwa Rhino sanctuary where you will get a chance to track rhinos on foot. Proceed to old Masindi Town where you will have lunch and then continue to Murchison Falls National Park, arrive in the evening; check-in refresh and rest. Overnight at Paraa Safari Lodge, Nile Safari Camp, Murchison River Lodge or Fort Murchison Lodge.
Day 2. Game Drive / Balloon Safari & Boat Cruise
Enjoy a full day making your own discoveries while on a morning game drive you may be able to see lions, giraffes, elephants, buffaloes, and many more and later in the afternoon, proceed for a boat trip on the placid Victoria nail upstream, en route you will see crocodiles, hippos, and a wide variety of different bird species. Disembark from the boat and take a hike to the top of the falls where you will see the Niles beauty perfected. Balloon Safari is another option in the morning before the game drive.

Day 3. Transfer to Kibale National Park
This morning depart Murchison Falls National Park heading to Kibale forest national park. You will make stops along the journey for photography, perhaps enjoy different sceneries and landscapes and a chance to meet local communities. Estimated transit time is 7 hours. Your tour driver has suggestions to help you make the most of your day. Overnight at Kyaninga Lodge, Primate Lodge or Kibale Forest Camp.
Day 4. Chimps Trek, Bigodi Swamp Walk, Community Encounter
Today after breakfast, transfer to the chimpanzee tracking briefing point in Kibale National Park. You spend the morning in the forest tracking the famous primates. Kibale Forest is home to over 70 different mammals including 13 primate species, which including chimpanzees and 352 tree species.
Later in the afternoon, after lunch, proceed for Bigodi swamp walk, an initiative of the local people geared towards conservation in this area. On this walk, you have chances for different bird & butterfly species, primates like black and white cola bus monkey, blue monkey, red-tailed monkey, grey-cheeked mangabeys among others. There also a variety of interesting plant species.

Chimpanzee Tracking in Kibale National Park
Day 5. Kibale National Park – Queen Elizabeth National Park
This morning a community tour introduces you to the local people who live around Kibale where you get to know more about their culture and the ways of living. Have lunch and head to Queen Elizabeth national park. En-route, you will visit some of the crater lakes that this area is famous for. On arrival check-in, dinner and overnight at Mweya Lodge, Katara Lodge, Buffalo Safari Camp or Kasenyi Safari Camp. Meal Plan; L, D
Day 6. Game Drive and Boat cruise on Kazinga Channel
This morning wake up for a sunrise game drive in Queen Elizabeth national park, Uganda’s most popular and diverse conservation area. The park is home to some of the “Big 5” such as lion, elephant, Cape buffalo, leopards, among others. Have lunch or rest and then embark on an afternoon boat trip on Kazinga channel. During the boat cruise, you are likely to spot the Nile crocodile, hundreds of hippos, buffaloes and a variety of birdlife.
Day 7. Ishasha sector- Bwindi National Park
Drive southern to the Ishasha section of the park and stop to see the famous tree-climbing lions, continue as you exit the park heading to Bwindi impenetrable forest national park.
Day 8. Bwindi National Park – Lake Bunyonyi
Rise for coffee and tea before assembling for a briefing by the ranger guide, enter the gorilla sanctuary for your tracking adventure and later in the afternoon after lunch take a Batwa Community walk (optional) or just transfer to Lake Bunyonyi.

Day 9. Lake Bunyonyi – Lake Mburo National Park
Today explore the spectacular beauty of Lake Bunyonyi as you take a canoe ride. Have lunch and transfer to lake Mburo national park, rest or refresh and proceed for a night game drive to end your day in a thrilling manner (optional) Overnight at your accommodation.

Day10. Lake Mburo – Boat cruise – Kampala / Entebbe
Today, accompanied by an armed Ranger, take a morning boat cruise and an en-route game-drive as you exit the Park. You have a stopover at the Equator for lunch and photographs before proceeding to Kampala.
